Book 18 of the Dresden files recently dropped and, of course, I dropped everything to read it. I'm also probably gonna circle around and hook myself up with the audio book for a second pass. Jim is simply that good.

I read it as soon as it went on Sale and, with the last trailer for the movie just released, I'm about to read it again in antici....pation of what I am hoping is a stunning adaptation. Rocky for the win.

I'm not convinced anyone has ever written more compelling none-fiction. I've read all his books, see no reason to stop now. If Mr Lewis writes about paint drying I'll cheerfully give it a read.

I've lost count of how many times I've read this. It is the best of an astonishing series - and that is a sky high bar. This version contains some beautiful background material and footnotes. Comfort food.

I haven't given a monkeys about football since I was about 15. This fabulous series demonstrates the value and the virtue of the game when it is played in and for a community. It's also proper funny.

My friend Steve Gukas made sure I didn't see it in the cinema because there was one scene that terified him'.I don't do terror. Turns out, he's mortal scared of snakes and this film is (16 Oscar noms) simply brilliant.

This one is a bit of a cheat. I mean, clearly the two Dune films are 'all time' good, but it also lets me give a special mention to another of my 'desert island' book. For the father, nothing...

When I first 'found' this smart, insightful, inspiring young man he had about 400k subs on YouTube and felt like a 'find'. Now he has over 2.1 million and we saw him at the Palladium in Londo for ONe of his multiple shows. he drops new comedy everyweek, and every week when he' does the thing' it is a marvel to behold.

I'm an inveterate Podcast listener. I might should probably add a section, but for now this is one of my absolute favourites. They are both very funny, together they are magical - rude, silly, a pure delight.

He was hilarious when he was playing rugby for England, he was brilliant on Celebrity Traitors, but here on his own formatted Video Podcast he is a pure, joe filled joy. Can't get enough of this immense gent, and y'all should thank me afta. 

bel Boy falls through the bar, Rowan Atkinson does role call, Don't mention the war, Billy Connelly parks his bike on Parky... Please add this astonishing and literally breath-taking comedy moment to that list. Pitch perfect.
